Volunteering at Travel Fair

Volunteering at Travel Fair

Today i am writing about my volunteering at Travel fair in Helsinki. Our school gave us an opportunity to go volunteer and help people there. Our task was to be fair guides for a full one day. At first when we came to the fair, a couple young ladies taught us what we needed to know as a guide and what the day included. They gave us maps so we always knew where we were and when people asked us where is some place, we could always look the map and tried to find the place with them. As a volunteer, we all had the big green balloons over our heads so people knew who we were.

Travel fair day was very busy, but i am glad that even we didn´t got any money of the day, we were allowed to have free lunch in the restaurant and couple 15 minutes coffee breaks. What i liked about the fair and volunteering, was that people who sold there were always very friendly and sometimes we got free snacks and magazines. I really liked the way we helped people and how they got happy of that. It was also very nice that there was both, finnish and foreign companies.
